Project Description
The takeaway dining experience is crucial, yet often overlooked, even for high-end restaurants. It is found that consumers are very frustrated with issues such as food leakage, loose packaging structure, and overly complex packaging. Therefore, we designed an integrated meal box solution: using bagasse as the box material maintains safety, while the beverage and sauce boxes use existing paper cup materials to ensure cost control. The new design has good stackability and is highly compatible with existing market products, achieving financial sustainability.
We also considered the needs of restaurant staff and delivery personnel. The circular recessed lids of the soup bowls effectively fix the cups, reducing spills during transportation. The meal boxes' protruding frame edges clip the layers together, ensuring the boxes do not shift during delivery. Our design aims to elevate the overall takeaway experience by addressing these pain points.
